Money is a huge leverage.
For a lot of people, it can make a huge difference in terms of the quality of life.

While many may talk brand/company loyalty, sentimental reasons for clinging onto old tech and old ways of working, they can be persuaded to change allegiance when 💰💰💰 is involved.

That’s what’s so interesting about the current situation. The market is so crazy 🔥 and experienced talents are so incredibly desirable that people get headhunted, right, left and centre.

Obviously, this is great for the individual – to be in demand, to be courted, to have money and benefits laid at your feet; what an incredible boost to the ego that can be.

Great for Salesforce too – everyone wants to climb on board and get a big slice of that 🥧 and ride on the gravy train.

Perhaps not so great for end customers – setting up a Centre of Excellence with your own team can get mighty hard if the Partners are headhunting.

And interestingly, not so great for some #Salesforce Partners as well – because they’ll find their own resources hunted down by competitors who can offer not only money, but perhaps better projects, better benefits and a Big Name on the CV.

You’ll find people leaving your company because 💲 is offered.
You might feel hurt, angry and betrayed.

I think it would be useful to understand and accept that this is the current state of the world, and find a way to provide a better and perhaps a more different offering to attract people that you want in your company.

Culture – define it, and make it an attractive one.
It isn’t ping pong table, beer on tap, Friday night jaunts or things like that.

It’s people.
Great people.
People who will have your back at all times.
People who will be like Family outside your own.

When making an offer, think about the people you want sprinkled in your organisation.
You want your team to be able to afford the good things in life, but you also want them to be happy.
Because happy people stay.

Although – feel free to throw money at me 😁
My morals can easily be bought for a bucketful of cash and a platter of 🍩
😋😋
