What’s the difference between working in a large Consulting Partner and small, medium or boutique sized one?
For me, it’s all about the team, and the ways of working.
Our final deliverable, or output – is a successful project, and having a great team will get us there without too many hairy turns.
In the smaller consultancies, you will have the opportunity to grow, bond and work with a team.
After awhile, you can often start finding your groove together, anticipating each other’s movement, and flowing in time – rapidly getting in sync.
It’s the best feeling – especially when we are totally in the zone, getting towards go-live.
In a large Consulting Partner, or GSI (Global System Integrator), there’s a high possibility that you may not have the same luxury.
However, I still find it exciting, in a different way.
I get to know new people – and find out how to work with different personalities and their motivations to get us to the finish line.
It’s easy to stay in your comfort zone, be with the people you love, who love you back.
Why move when you’re having fun every day, doing work you enjoy??
For me – even though I had a great time with my wonderful team, I wanted to grow.
There are different ways of #CreatingMagic.
You could stick with the one way you know, or you can learn new skills, new techniques and make magic with new people.
And that, is why I do what I do.
