Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that you should.
Just because you can integrate two systems and sync all the data doesn’t mean you should.
Managing data, maintaining integrity, synchronising, whether real time or in offline batches, error trapping, designing robust master data management strategy…
Every additional piece of integrated data costs money and adds complexity.
You should only bring across data that is absolutely critical for the running of your business.
Especially anything that needs to be filtered, searched, reported on.
Otherwise, just bring across a ‘view’ or UI of the other system such as using an iframe or canvas view of the external system.
This makes the system much lighter, easier to maintain, and fit for purpose.
So, just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should.
There is a difference between knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom.
You acquire Salesforce knowledge from Trailhead.
I can help provide some intelligence on how to implement Salesforce projects properly.
And your wisdom will grow by actually doing them, making mistakes, and learning from them.
If you want to get intelligence, and are currently a #laidoff or #openforwork #salesforceadmins #awesomeadmins based in the UK with at least 2 Salesforce certification who want to break into the Salesforce Consulting world, wanting to know how to deliver projects successfully, DM me.
I’m offering 3 weeks worth of FREE Live Consulting Masterclass training.
