Managing expectations is a key part of my job as a Project Manager.

Expectations can be the cause of so much stress, anger, disappointment.
I believe that there are two ways of approaching this.
1. Have realistic expectations.
For example, you may expect to meet and marry a drop dead model / salsa dancer.
Are you the type that would attract her?
Either up your game, or revise those expectations so that you might find a soul-mate who aligns more with your personal vaues and goals.
2. Manage the expectation of the other party.
If you have promised to deliver an activity, make sure you keep your PM up to date on your progress.
Regardless whether you’re ahead of schedule or behind schedule.
If you can manage expectations well, you will have found a way to reduce unnecessary conflict and stress in your life.
There isn’t enough donuts in the world to deal with all that fuzz.
